THERE WILL BE NO MEETING IN JULY!  We are not having a meeting nor the Celiac 101 Class on July 3.

We will next meet on Saturday, August 7.  Our guest speaker will be Jean Duane, known as The Alternative Cook.  Jean Duane knows what it’s like to live with food intolerances.  She maintains a gluten-free, dairy-free diet and has developed alternative recipes for years.  Her passion for cooking, combined with her professional training have enabled her to create a series of instructional DVDs (Kids’ Meals, Chocolate, Mexican and Italian), Bake Deliciously! Gluten and Dairy Free Cookbook with over 150 baked recipes focusing on whole grains and Video Streams.  Ms. Duane shows how to prepare easy meals with alternative ingredients that rival those made with traditional ingredients. 

Jean Duane is an award-winning entrepreneur, guest TV cook and author.  Join Jean’s epicurean adventures on Comcast’s Video on Demand and PBS’s Life Wise series.  Jean has written articles for Autism Asperger’s Digest, Gluten-Free Living, Celiac Disease Foundation Newsletter, Gluten Intolerance Group Newsletter, Scott-Free Newsletter and on her blog – the blog with a jingle! (www.alternativecook.com).  She is a member and speaker for the International Association of Culinary Professionals.  She regularly presents at grocery stores and support groups.
