Mexican Cornbread

1 package of GF corn bread mix like Gluten Free Pantry

½ small can diced green chilies

½ cup grated sharp cheddar cheese

½  tsp black pepper

1/4 tsp onion powder

¼ - ½ tsp crushed garlic (1-2 cloves)

½ tsp chili powder (optional)

1 8 oz can of corn, drained

Diced jalapeños to taste from a can (optional)

Mix cheese, spices and cornbread mix.  Add eggs, green chilies and liquid according to package directions.

Bake according to package directions in a 9x9 Pyrex dish or make muffins.
